The College community gathered to celebrate Holy Thursday, the Holiest of days on the Catholic calendar, with a Liturgy including the religious rite of washing of the feet.
Fr John Sebastian led the ceremony, with Mr Burgio, Ms O'Neill, Ms Knox, Mr Bailey, Mr Correia and College Captain, Ben Parker, also kneeling before a line of staff and students to pour water over their bare feet and honour the teachings and ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
The symbolic gesture reflected one of the last tasks that Jesus carried out on Earth, washing the feet of his disciples after the Last Supper, setting an example of equality and love for our neighbours.
The ceremony also embraces the value of servant leadership that is an integral part of the CBC journey.
'"You should wash one another's feet," He told them. "I have set an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."' (John 13:1-17)
