A lucky group of CBC Fremantle musicians spent their school holidays exploring Singapore and expanding their musical talents in the city's thriving jazz scene.
The Singapore Music Tour exposes boys from Years 10 to 12 to new ways of experiencing music, with the talented gentlemen performing at a range of venues during their nine-day trip, ranging from cosy clubs to bustling streets.
The crowds at Sentosa's famous Merlion lapped up the visitors' performances, pulling up chairs and even dancing as the boys played some favourite tunes.
The group also spent time meeting and bonding with the students of Yio Chu Kang Secondary College, comparing instruments and joining together to perform a few songs.
It wasn't all work though, with the years of dedication to the College's Music programme being rewarded with the opportunity to snag some bargains and take in some of the city's most incredible sights, including Fort Canning Bunker, Gardens by the Bay, Universal Studios, Adventure Cove Waterpark, Night Safari, and the Trick Eye Museum.
The boys also bumped into some familiar faces while they traversed the city, including Liturgies and Retreats Coordinator, Mr Matthew Silveira.
During their stay students discovered a friendly and vibrant community, which welcomed them with open arms and provided different perspectives on their way of life.
The Music Tour was led by Mr Shane Mancuso, who was accompanied by Ms Emma Tandy, and encourages boys to seek excellence in their musical careers at the College.
