CBC's WorldSkills on display

Caleb, Mr Hart and Mark will travel to Sydney this June to represent the College, and their state.

At the end of 2017, Kaleb Milsom (Year 12) and Old Boy Mark Quintrini ('13) participated in the WorldSkills Australia Regional Skills Competition and won Gold in the Metals Engineering and Plumbing categories, respectively. As a result, both gentlemen have been selected for the WorldSkills Western Australia team to compete in Australia's largest skills excellence competition - the 2018 WorldSkills Australia National Championships.

This is a once in a lifetime invitation to join the best up-and-coming innovators, makers, creators and thinkers at the only skills and trades excellence competition in Australia.

Kaleb and Mark will join hundreds of other young apprentices and trainees from all over Australia in Sydney from June 1 to 5, 2018 at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. Tens of thousands of school aged children, their parents, teachers and career advisors, along with some of Australia's biggest and most influential organisations, will be watching and cheering the gentlemen on as they compete across three days of competition. Mr Hart has also been invited as the Lead Facilitator for Team WA and will be joining our boys in Sydney

The WorldSkills National Championships are part of The Skills Show Australia 2018, which is Australia's biggest and most successful event that celebrates trades, skills, vocational education and training and above all, industry excellence. As the only Vocational Education and Training (VET) showcase in Australia, the Skills Show will bring to life VET pathways for more than 1,000,000 visitors to explore, learn and try dozens of skill and trades across the 3 days of the event.
