Welcome to our new staff

In 2020, CBC Fremantle welcomes nine new staff to its community.

Each new member brings their unique gifts and talents to the College, and we look forward to continuing to extend a warm welcome to each of them over the coming weeks.

Daniel Bateman – Head of RE

I am joining CBC after spending the last four years at another EREA school, Trinity College, where I taught Religious Education, Mathematics and coordinated some student Retreats.

I am passionate about boys' education, in particular those schools in the Edmund Rice community.

I love playing sport, particularly cricket and soccer, and I'm looking forward to getting involved in co-curricular activities at CBC.

Mai Barnes – English Teacher

Mai is joining the English Department at CBC after teaching for five years at Applecross Senior High School.

She also recently spent one year living in Japan, teaching in a rural high school and going hiking on weekends.

She has also taught in schools in Collie, Albany and the United Kingdom.
